How should you plan a cruise?
My very first cruise experience was a Royal Caribbean couple cruise to the Bahamas in my mid-twenties. I choose the Bahamas as it was the cheapest destination for Royal Caribbean at the time and had the shortest cruise duration (3 days).
While I loved spending time doing the couples vacation, to be honest that first cruise was seriously lacking Party/Nightclub fun and Friends. I returned from that first cruise tanned and relaxed but I also had a had of list of things that I would do different the next time cruised.
I have since embarked on about 10 Carnival cruises, some with groups and some alone. I no longer need the excitement of the cruise night life for my enjoyability. I now choose cruises based on cruise line, ship destination, ship and room décor, and special VIP amenities.
Lets talk about some of the things I learned from my first experience that can help you better find the cruise line, destination, group size, room type and excursions that are best for you.
